79. Vietnamese Food

Since I was but a small one, my family has been eating Vietnamese food at Kim Son on the West Bank. Or as I once called it: 'mese food.

What I would kill for some wonton soup. Or a spring roll. Although as a veghead I technically can't eat either. Well, you can get spring rolls sans the pork but it's not the same. But I can eat vermichelli with shrimp! Mmm.

I was going to include all ethnic food in this post, which is something that I truly love. I have turned into quite the lover of Thai cuisine in the past few years.

But Vietnamese food, and specifically Kim Son, holds a special place in my heart, because it will always be our family's restaurant.

It's weird, but do you ever think that when you do something, it'll be the last time you ever do something? It's starting to be that way my senior year (mainly as I check off all the restaurants that I may only go to 'one last time.') Well, over the summer I definitely felt that way about Kim Son. I hope it never is the last time. I hope there is always another time to drive to the Wank, and that there is always another time to eat some vermichelli.
